Heartbroken for Haiti

When I feel like complaining about traffic on my commute. . .
When I feel like complaining about a "long, hard" day at work. . .
When I feel like complaining about a stiff neck. . .
When I feel like complaining about eating dinner late. . .
When I feel like saying "I have nothing to wear". . .
When I feel like complaining about long lines at the grocery store. . .
. . . the triviality has been heightened.

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
We do not know what we ought to pray for,
but the Spirit himself intercedes
for us with groans that words cannot express.”
(Romans 8:26)

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those who are crushed in spirit.”
(Psalm 34:18)

  1. I cried myself to sleep last night after watching the CNN broadcast on Haiti. I have been clinging to Romans 8:26 because I really am at a loss for words, yet I feel the Spirit groaning through me through my tears.

    You're such a great 'sista.' :) I think you and I should spend more 1 on 1 time together next time we're in the same place. I keep discovering how very similar we are!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
